Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at St. Sophia’s: May 15, 2008
Our Teen SOYO and guests attended the historical Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Los Angeles on the Sunday of Orthodoxy, March 15th, 2008.
His Eminence, Metropolitan Gerasimos from the Greek Orthodox Church, along with His Grace, the Right Reverend Bishop Joseph, His Grace, the Right Reverend Bishop Benjamin from the Orthodox Church in America and His Grace, the Right Reverend Bishop Maxim from the Serbian Orthodox Church co-celebrated the restoring of the icon in the Church and met with the member of Teen SOYO representatives from all the four jurisdictions. His Grace, Bishop Benjamin spoke to the Teens about making Orthodox real in their lives and answered numerous questions from the young people for about an hour. The Teen were also able to meet and greet His Grace Bishop Joseph following the presentation. All of the young people enjoyed the wonderful fellowship, games, and food, but felt that the most meaningful experience was being part of the historical day in the life of the Church. What a joy it was to see the young people having such a good time in the Church.
